The Cumberland has been shortlisted for four national awards, including recognition for its mortgage rates.
The building society has been shortlisted in four categories of the 2025 Moneyfacts Awards: Best First-Time Buyer Mortgage; Best Fixed Rate Mortgage Provider; Best Remortgage Provider and Best Building Society Mortgage Provider.
They are the same categories as it was shortlisted for last year and it won Best First-Time Buyer Mortgage Provider and highly commended Remortgage Provider.
Nominations are based on evidence.
Matthew North, senior product analyst at The Cumberland, said: “It’s about being able to keep competitive mortgage rates out there for as long as possible for the benefit of our customers,” he said.
“Being a regional building society nominated alongside national banks is a bit of a coup for us. It shows we have been able to keep up with everyone and that our hard work has been recognised.
“It’s the second year in a row and we are hoping to do even better this time.”
The winners of the Moneyfacts Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on June 26.
