
A person was airlifted to hospital following a sport and leisure incident on Easter Sunday.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service said it was called at around 6.15pm to the fell Troutbeck Tongue, near Ambleside.
It said: “Our team worked alongside Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team and assessed and treated a patient.
“The patient was airlifted to hospital in 24 minutes.”
No further information has yet been released about the incident.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called out 26 times over the Easter bank holiday weekend in Cumbria and the North East – five incidents were in Cumbria.
