
A Reform UK candidate has won a seat on a West Cumbrian town council.
The by-election for Egremont Town Council’s south ward was held yesterday, Thursday April 24.
Christopher John Colley, for Reform UK, won with 359 votes. The Labour Party’s Janette Ruth Tear got 226 votes and Jeffrey Haile, of the Conservative Party, got 156 votes.
There were four rejected ballot papers and the turnout was 26.3%.
