A finalist of BBC show MasterChef has joined Lake District hotels to help lead their kitchens.

Radha Kaushal-Bolland, who reached the final of the series in 2022, has joined Stove Restaurant on the Langdale Estate as head chef.

Radha has gained a reputation as a bright gastronomic talent with a fresh approach.

She has created a new menu for Stove with the aim of making it a destination restaurant.

Radha said: “True flavour comes from quality, not complexity and the best dishes are those where every element has purpose and clarity.

“Simplicity is our boldest statement and on our new menu at Stove every plate is carefully composed to highlight the natural flavours of its core ingredient without unnecessary embellishment.

“We want to deliver food that is both understated and unforgettable, where the landscape of the Lake District is reflected in every bite.”

Stove is the 150-seat eatery of the Langdale Estate, home to Brimstone Hotel and Langdale Hotel.

Estate chef Duncan McKay, who oversees every dining experience at Langdale Estate, said: “It’s great to welcome Radha to the team.

“Her belief in letting produce shine without pretentiousness fits us perfectly and we’re excited to welcome guests, both local and resident, to try our new menu.”
