Workington Juniors won their second piece of silverware this season as they lifted the Cumberland County League Cup 1 after beating Aspatria 3-0.
In a game being played at the Falcon Complex in Egremont, goals from Macauley Sharp, Chad Grisdale and Owen Birkett ensured Workington a league and cup double in their debut campaign.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Unisun Athletic earned themselves a place in the Ken Glover Memorial Trophy after a 3-0 win against Wigton Harriers with goals coming from Liam Graham, Ollie Reay and Charlie Thomson.
Unisun will face Whitehaven Miners Social in the final Saturday May 17 at the Falcon Complex, Egremont.
On Wednesday, Wigton Harriers and Unisun Athletic will meet once again, this time at Wigton’s home of Barton Laws in the Whitehaven Cup semi final with both teams be eager to reach the final at the Falcon Complex and face Maryport Athletic. Kick-off is 6.30pm.
