Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a three car crash in Carlisle.

Officers are investigating the three-vehicle collision that happened on Eden Bridge, Carlisle, on the afternoon of Thursday May 15, during rush hour at about 5.05pm.

The collision involved a blue Mercedes, a green Volkswagen and a black Audi; the driver of the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary for treatment.

The A7 into Carlisle was closed whilst the casualty was treated by NWAS paramedics and to allow for Cumbria Fire and Rescue to make the vehicles safe before recovery was completed.

Anybody who may have dashcam footage that captured the collision, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact the investigating officers online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it, quoting incident number 179 of the 15th of May 2025.

Or call 101, quoting the same incident reference.

Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
