Workington Comets racing will be suspended for another seven days.
British Speedway Promoters Ltd has issued an update after the speedway side was given an initial seven-day pause on June 27 after administrative issues came to light.
In a statement today, Friday July 4, British Speedway Ltd said: “Efforts are continuing in a bid to resolve the administrative issues which led to a seven-day suspension of the club’s membership being imposed.
“With more time required as all parties look to reach a successful conclusion, the suspension has today been extended for a further seven days.
“We thank supporters and riders for their patience and will update further as soon as possible.”
