Workington Reds have suffered another blow in a close season that has provided a few setbacks already.
Jordan Little has announced that he won’t be returning next season when Reds resume their NPL Premier Division programme at the Fibrus Community Stadium.
Last season’s player of the year has told Cumbria Crack that he is gutted to be leaving the Reds but the distance he was travelling for games was getting to him.
He will be playing again next season but the 30-year-old has not revealed his destination.
Little’s departure follows Stephen Swinglehurst’s departure, Dav Symington’s retirement and concerns over Stephen Rigg’s playing future – all three experienced players.
Cumbria Crack’s John Walsh has spoken to Reds manager Billy Barr who has given his thoughts on Little’s departure, the current situation with Rigg, how his pursuit of new signings is going and his friendly build-up for the switch to the Fibrus Community Stadium.
