Cumbrian clubs were out of luck in the draw for the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup, to be played on August 2.
Away draws resulted for Penrith, Carlisle City and Kendal Town and even if successful only Penrith can look forward to a home tie a fortnight later in the preliminary round.
Penrith have been draw away to Pickering Town in the opening FA Cup round and if they win will be at home to Easington Colliery or Boro Rangers.
There are road trips, however, for their county neighbours with Carlisle City starting with a trip to Marske, followed by a visit to either Whitley Bay or Easington Stannington if they are successful.
Kendal Town must start at Crook Town where a win would give them a second away trip to either West Allotment Celtic or Northallerton Town.
There was no better luck for Penrith in the FA Vase as their opening qualifying round game is at Campion on August 23.
Holker Old Boys, however, do have a home tie against Rawton and Crawcrook Albion.
In the second qualifying round Penrith will have a home tie with Padiham or Sunderland RCA if they are successful while Holker Old Boys have another home tie in prospect if successful with a visit from Route One Rovers.
Kendal Town enter at this stage and have an away tie at the winners of Fulwood Amateurs and AFC Blackpool.
‘The draw has also been made for the preliminary round of the FA Youth Cup and there’s a Cumbrian derby in prospect with Workington Reds drawn at home to Penrith. Kendal Town have a home tie against Stockton Town.
The winners of Workington and Penrith will be at home to Spennymoor in the first qualifying round while Kendal will have another home tie against Carlington if they get through their first game.
