
A man died the day after he fell into the sea from a West Cumbrian harbour.
Emergency services were called at around 5.30pm on Sunday, July 6, to Maryport Harbour.
The Great North Air Ambulance, fire service and police were among the emergency services at the scene.
Maryport Rescue was called out to the incident at around 5.40pm and its volunteers recovered the man from the water.
He was handed to the North West Ambulance Service, members of Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team & Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team for further assessment and medical assistance.
He was taken to hospital, but died on Monday afternoon.
Cumbria police said his death was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
