A horse has been seized after concerns were raised over its welfare.
Allerdale Police said a social media post was circulated about the horse in the area of Camerton, near Workington.
Allerdale Police added: “We are working alongside our colleagues from Copeland Police, Cumbria Police Rural Crime Team and partners from the RSPCA, British Horse Society and World Horse Welfare.
“The horse has been seized, and enquiries are ongoing.”
