Exciting young winger Andy Djeukessi returns to the Workington side for tomorrow’s trip to Dewsbury.
The Castleford loanee missed out last week against Keighley after being recalled by his parent club to play in the Super League clash with St Helens.
He now rejoins Jonty Gorley’s squad for the rest of the season as part of a quartet of young Tigers hopefuls who have been loaned out to League One clubs – two to Newcastle and one to Rochdale.
Gorley said: “It’s good to have Andy back because he’s made a good impression with everyone here.
“Dewsbury is going to be a tough one because they are in good form and as we know they have won twice at our place – in the 1895 Cup and in the League.
“We need to improve on our second-half performance last week against Keighley.
“When we play to our best and potential we can match anyone, it’s when we drop our standards that we pay for it.”
With strong suggestions that the proposed Super Eights won’t happen this year due to re-organisation of the League structures, the one remaining objective without a top four aim, is topping League One.
North Wales Crusaders look as though they will be difficult to dislodge but Town will be going all out to challenge them by winning their last three games – at Dewsbury and Goole and in between at home to Rochdale.
Town’s squad tomorrow is: Ross Ainley, Levi Atiga, Jake Carter, Lucas Castle, Lennon Clark, Max Clarke, Rio Corkill, Andy Djeukessi, Jamie Doran, Dave Eccleston, Callum Farrer, Spencer Fulton, Zarrin Galea, Guy Graham, Cooper Howlett, Mason Lewthwaite, Callum Phillips, Stevie Scholey, Jack Stephenson, Cole Walker-Taylor, Dom Wear.
