Penrith are still searching for their first win of the season after another home draw.
The Bonny Blues have suffered from conceding late goals so far, which have turned wins into draws – and also a defeat in the FA Cup and the League.
But this time they needed a late goal to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Whickham in Northern League Division One.
Manager Jim Nichols reckons that decisions have ben going against them but believes their luck will change.
“I reckon there have been nine goals in five games which have been ruled out for us or scored against us, and they were all wrong decisions,” he said.
There were some contentious decisions in the latest clash at Frenchfield when Nichols’ side had to come from behind twice to gain the point – their third draw.
Kyle Cockburn had given Whickham a half-time lead with a goal on 33 minutes and Penrith did not draw level until the 67th minute through Connor Shields.
But seven minutes later Jordan Lavery restored the visitors’ lead from the penalty spot and it needed a very late penalty fro9m Luke Hunter to salvage a point for Penrith.
They are back at home on Tuesday night against Thornaby who are unbeaten, and lie third in the table.

Guisborough could also have leapfrogged City with a win but they were held 1-1 at West Auckland.
Kendal Town, who visit Carlisle City on Tuesday night, moved into sixth place with a 2-0 home win against bottom side Crook Town.
Crook, beaten 3-1 at home by Kendal the previous week in the FA Cup, proved to be stubborn opponents who defended doggedly in the first-half and it took two second half goals to win it for the Mintcakes.
Josh Winder made the breakthrough after 68 minutes and James Bailey made certain of the points with the second after 81 minutes.
