
Emergency services were called to a Cumbrian village after a woman was seriously injured.
Police said they were called at around 3pm to Hunsonby, near Penrith, yesterday, Tuesday August 12.
A spokesman said: “We received a report that a woman had been injured in a potential workplace incident in the Hunsonby area.”
The woman, in her 30s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
She is reported as being in a critical but stable condition.
The Health and Safety Executive will be informed, police said.
