Lucy Pittaway’s latest Lake District gallery is celebrating its first birthday – and you could win a framed print.

The contemporary artist’s gallery, on Lake Road in Bowness-on-Windermere, is her seventh and second in the Lake District.

Bowness-on-Windermere, a popular tourist destination, provides an ideal setting for Lucy’s unique artwork, the gallery said.

A spokesman added: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our first year in Bowness‑on‑Windermere.

“It’s a thriving holiday town and the largest in the Lake District National Park, with beautiful lakeside views and a blend of locals and visitors. Our location in the heart of the community has been ideal for welcoming people into the gallery.”

When it opened last year, Lucy said: “We have been looking for a suitable place to open another gallery in the Lake District for several years.

“Bowness is a place I have spent much time in since my childhood as part of my family is from that area. It means a lot to me opening there.”

To celebrate the opening, people are invited to pop in to celebrate with gallery staff and could win a framed print.

Visit the Lake Road gallery for more information.
