Workington manager Darren Edmondson is taking a leave of absence for two weeks.
Reds have announced the news on the eve of tomorrow night’s home game against Warrington Rylands.
A statement from the club said: “Manager Darren Edmondson will be taking two weeks leave for family reasons.
“In the meantime Brian Dawson and Billy Redden will pick up the reins on a temporary basis as they did so successfully at the end of last season.”
Edmondson is in his second spell in charge of the Borough Park club and was the club’s longest serving manager during his first time as manager.
Player availability has contributed to a poor start and three successive defeats is their worst for 50 years when they were in the Football League’s Fourth Division.
