
Emergency services attended a fire on Cockermouth’s Main Street on Tuesday night.
Five fire engines were called out at 6.50pm to the blaze which happened at a commercial premises, believed to be Main Street Fisheries.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus, the aerial ladder platform, and two thermal imaging cameras.
Crews also administered oxygen therapy to one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service mobilised its joint incident command and fire crews from Workington, Cockermouth, Keswick and Maryport attended alongside an aerial ladder platform.
Part of the pavement was cordoned off and the road was closed while emergency services continued to work.
Firefighters were in attendance for about three hours.

Police at the scene were telling people to avoid the area.
