A north Cumbrian primary school has been given a £3,000 boost by a housing developer.
Hayton Primary School, between Brampton and Warwick Bridge, has been given the donation by Persimmon Homes Lancashire via its Community Champions initiative.
Persimmon Lancashire sales director Ani Abbott presented the donation to headteacher, Sarah Threlkeld-Brown and pupils.
The cash will be put towards the school’s plan to create a new outdoor classroom.
Mts Threlkeld-Brown said: “On behalf of everyone at our school, I would like to say a big thank you to Persimmon Homes for their generous donation.
“We are looking forward to completing our new outdoor classroom, which I’m confident will have a hugely positive impact on both our pupils learning and wellbeing.
“It will be a wonderful addition to our provision, and we can’t wait to see the completed design in a few months’ time.”
