A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing a nuisance at a Cumbrian urgent treatment centre.
South Lakes police said they were called to the centre at Kendal’s Westmorland General Hospital yesterday, Thursday September 4.
Janis Maculevics, of Kendal, was arrested charged with the offence of causing a nuisance on NHS premises.
South Lakes Police said: “In a room full of ill and injured people, NHS staff have far better things to be doing than attempting to manage drunkards causing issues on the ward and refusing to leave the premises when requested to do so.
“They and their patients don’t deserve to have to contend with such behaviour and any such action will always be dealt with robustly.”
