Keswick’s Wetherspoon pub has reopened this morning.
The Chief Justice of the Common Pleas closed on Wednesday night after pest activity was found in the area.
A Wetherspoon spokesman said: “Unfortunately, there has been some pest activity in the area.
“As a result, the pub closed to undertake maintenance and pest control work.
“The matter was reported to our pest control specialists, and appropriate measures have been implemented.
“We have also scheduled regular follow-up visits from our pest control consultants to monitor for any activity.”
He added that the pub was awarded the maximum food hygiene rating of five out of five by the local authority.
He added: “We believe that the measures taken will result in no further issues.”
The pub has reopened this morning, Friday September 12.
