Emergency services were called to Whitehaven marina after reports that there was a person in the water.
Among those called yesterday, Saturday September 13, was Whitehaven Coastguard Recue Team.
The team said: “The team deployed with a member of the team prepared to carry out a snatch rescue, the team arrived to scene to the welcome news that members of Cumbria police had successfully rescued the casualty who was in the care of North West Ambulance Service.”
