Cumberland ARL’s senior referee Neil Byers was hurt in a Premier Division game yesterday.
He was officiating at Glasson in a game with Wath Brow when he appeared to collide accidentally with a player.
As he was unable to continue the game was called off just before half-time but Neil was reported to be fine at home by late evening.
Wath Brow were leading 22-4 when the game ended prematurely and it might stand as the final score.
Another Premier Division game did not take place as Cockermouth were unable to raise a team to play Seaton Rangers.
However the scheduled top flight game between Flimby and Lowca went ahead and was a fairly close encounter.
It finished 28-16 to the visitors with Lowca out-scoring their hosts five tries to three.
Emerson Allen (2), Ashton Briscoe, Jamie Haile and Greg Smith scored the Lowca tries with Evan Hodgson (2), Allen and Billy Penrice supplying the goals.
For Flimby there were tries from Rhys Booty, Nathan Kirkbride and Alex Wilson with a goal apiece by Dan Weir and Josh Patterson.
In Division One, table toppers Kells A could not field a team for their final game with Egremont A.
The two points for that walk over means Egremont A make the play-offs.
It also means Distington A miss-out despite beating Aspatria 58-0 in their final game.
Jaiden Hewer (2), Jack Penrice (2), Aaron O’Donnell, Kelvin Lynch, Bailey Worthington, Jack Worthington, Robbie Worthington and Stephen Clark scored the Distington tries. Lynch kicked six goals.
Also in Division One Hensingham A headed a clutch of three clubs on the same points as they beat Maryport A 26-0.
There were tries from Jackson Smith, Danny Stables, Lucas Roper, Jordan Pritt and Aiden Butterworth. Rylan Templeton kicked three goals.
