Workington Reds game at Hebburn tomorrow night will go ahead as Darren Edmondson’s men look to extend an unbeaten run.
There would have been a postponement had Hebburn drawn their FA Cup-tie at Curzon Ashton on Saturday.
But the North East side crashed 4-1 so with no replay required they will host the Reds as programmed in the NPL fixtures.
Curzon had scored two early goals; Gary Martin pulled one back for the north-east side but the hosts added a third before half-time.
A fourth goal for Curzon was the only goal in the second-half.
Hebburn have just announced that goalkeeper Dan Cameron, on loan from Sunderland for a month has had that arrangement extended for the rest of the season.
Reds are still waiting to hear about the immediate plans for impressive young defender Hayden Atkinson.
His month’s loan is over and now Reds’ boss Edmondson will be hoping it can be extended. He has missed the last two games with an injury picked up training with Carlisle.
Whatever happens over his loan extension, Atkinson won’t be fit to resume at Hebburn and there are still fitness concerns over Kai Nugent and Cieran Casson.
Reds have put a little run together with two very good performances, winning at fifth-placed Bamber Bridge and holding leaders FC United of Manchester 0-0 at Borough Park last Tuesday.
