A new way to report issues like dog fouling, fly tipping and littering has been launched.
Cumberland Council has set up new online reporting forms to make it easier for people across Cumberland to report environmental issues.
The new system will allow people to report problems directly from their smartphones or devices while out and about, or on laptops or computers, as well as receive updates on their reports.
It marks the first time a unified approach has been adopted across Cumberland and aims to streamline the process for both the public and council teams.
Councillor Denise Rollo, executive member with responsibility for the sustainable, resilient and connected places portfolio, said: “This is a big step forward in the process of harmonising our systems and processes.
“These forms make it easier for people to report issues that, as councillors, we know are a real priority for them to get sorted.
“They also help us deliver better services and improve the environment for communities across Cumberland.”
The new forms replace the online services previously provided by the myCumberland (formerly myAllerdale) app and e-forms, as well as the e-forms previously used by residents in the former Carlisle City Council area which were on a separate system.
People in the former Copeland area can now report incidents online for the first time.
Users of the myCumberland app are being redirected to the new forms, before it is switched off in a few weeks.
The forms are now live and accessible via the Cumberland Council website here.
People can still report issues by telephone or by visiting one of the council’s customer service centres if they prefer.
