An emergency road closure is in place in a north Cumbrian village after a water mains burst.
The road through Dalston, near Carlisle, is closed to traffic.
Cumberland Council said the mains burst was next to the ongoing mains replacement work.
United Utilities repair team and grab vehicle worked overnight to complete repairs.
The reinstating team will be on site this morning.
A signed diversion route is in place.
It is hoped the road will reopen mid-morning to lunchtime today, Wednesday September 24.
