Second round draws revealed for Community cup and plate competitions

Five Cumbrian clubs are still involved in the new-style community competitions devised by the RFU.

A number of games in the first round at the weekend did not take place but the RFU have now issued second round draws in Cup and Plate competitions.

In the Counties Community Cup, Counties 1 Championship Millom are Cumbria’s sole representative and they have a home draw.

They will face Stockton for a chance to make progress in the competition.

The full draw is:

  • Aldwinians v Goole
  • Beverley v Market Rasen & Louth
  • Bletchley v Leicester Forest
  • Cheshunt v Hemel Hempstead
  • Cobham v Andover
  • Crewe & Nantwich v Newcastle (StaƯs)
  • Eastbourne v Weybridge Vandals
  • Evesham v Ledbury
  • Ipswich v Southwold
  • Medicals v Novocastrians
  • Millom v Stockton
  • Old Bristolians v Nailsea & Backwell
  • Old Rutlishains v Trinity Paignton or Truro
  • Tamworth v Burntwood or Veseyans
  • Thurrock v Romford & Gidea Park

In the Counties 1 North Plate there are two county derby ties.

Cockermouth will entertain Creighton while St Benedict’s have a visit from Windermere.

  • Cockermouth v Creighton
  • Hartlepool v Acklam
  • Kidderminster v Aston Old Edwardians
  • Leamington v Bye
  • Liverpool St Helens v Wigan
  • New Brighton v Broughton Park
  • Nottingham Moderns v Spalding
  • Ryton v Durham University
  • St Benedict’s v Windermere
  • Stewarts and Lloyds v Manor Park
