A Lake District restaurant with rooms has been named the best place in the UK for date night.
1863 in Pooley Bridge has been awarded the accolade by review website TripAdvisor.
It was also rated as 12th in the world for a date night in the Travellers’ Choice Awards.
The platform’s awards are based on reviews and ratings collected over 12 months.
1863 has over 800 reviews on the site, averaging a 4.8-star rating.
