
A man has died after a serious crash on the M6 near Gretna.
Emergency Services were called at 6.42am today, Thursday 2 October, to a report of a single vehicle crash on the M6 Northbound just prior to Junction 45, near Gretna.
The driver, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s family have been informed.
A number of other vehicles were also affected by damage and debris from the crash.

The road remains closed while enquiries are carried out. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and are thanked for their patience.
