The meeting at Dubbs Lane, hosted by the South Lakes area featured six races which were contested by 76 hounds.
A field of nine lined up for the opening senior trail with Huntsman’s Rebel, for Denise and Jenny Bland and Graham Little, sent off as the favourite.
The hounds can be seen passing the trail field at roughly 18 minutes running and leading the way when they first appeared was Mel for Les and Graham Reid and Ellie Napier who had a 10-yard advantage over Huntsman’s Time for Denise and Jenny Bland and Graham Little and Sportsman for Willie and Craig Mark.
But as they went out of sight Sportsman had taken the lead ahead of Huntsman’s Time with Mel dropping back to third and Millie’s Lass for George McGimpsy, and Gillian and Millie Telford in fourth.
The runners can then be seen going through the bottoms and after a scale Mel went back to the front ahead of Millie’s Lass.
As they appeared on the finish Mel had extended her lead and finished well to win ahead of Millie’s Lass and Huntsman’s Rebel.
Millie’s Lad for George McGimpsy, Gillian and Millie Telford finished fourth.
There was a good race for fifth with Miterdale Green Queen for Sophie Steele, Jake and Zach Green getting up to pip Huntsman’s Time.
The senior maidens went next with a field of 16 lining up at the slip.
Dundee for Neil and Gillian Brown and Joel and Derrick Bulman was sent off as the favourite.

The hounds can be seen passing the trail field, again roughly after 18 minutes, and Thorn Heart for Colin Satterthwaite was leading the way ahead of Sir Robert for Malcolm Holmes with Foxparke Whoosh for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler in third.
As the hounds went out of sight it was clear that five of them had established a slight lead.
The hounds are then seen in the bottoms and again, like the seniors did, they scaled and it was Foxparke Elliot’s Lad for Robyn, Grace, Ellie and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler who took the opportunity to lead them away ahead of Sir Robert and Thorn Heart.
When they appeared on the finish Thorn Heart had dropped well and went on to win ahead of Sir Robert with fast finishing Foxparke Elliot’s Lad in third ahead of Meadow Lane for Paul Airey.
Peggy Sue for Gillian Brown and Mickey O’ Brien was fifth with the final ticket going to Foxparke Dealer for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler.
The Pups had a field of 14 taking part and the money was for Huntsman’s Unite for Denise and Jenny Bland and Graham Little, eventually sent off as the favourite.
In the shorter trails the hounds can be seen passing the trail field after roughly eight to 10 minutes running and leading the way was the favourite Huntsman’s Unite ahead of Brown Sugar for Graham and Les Reid and Ellie Napier with Maggie in third for Les and Graham Reid, Erin Rowlandson, Barbara Jones and Steven Walker.
Let It Be for Ruth and Charlie Dixon completed the first quartet who had begun to pull away ahead of the chasing pack which was being led by Denton Phantom for Lee, Hayley, George and Joey Wall, Sandra Mordue and Ted Storrows.

The hounds are then seen in the bottoms and it was the same three leading but had been joined by Foxparke Rita’s Rose for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Darren Clark and Jenny’s Chance for Denise and Jenny Bland, Graham Little, and Ella and Kyle Gallacher.
As they appeared on the finish Maggie had got nicely in front and finished well to win ahead of Brown Sugar with Jenny’s Chance in third and Foxparke Rita’s Rose in fourth.
There was a small gap to Huntsman’s Unite and the final ticket went to Let It Be.
The open non winners race had 11 entries and Deggsey Moon for Tracey, Carolyn and Derrick Hill was sent off as the favourite.
When they first came into view it was Huntsman’s Delight for Jim, Ann, Alan and Adrian Little who was leading the way ahead of Foxparke Dupe for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Ricky Deacon.
As they began to go out of sight Foxparke Cheese and Beans for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Glenis Farren had found another gear and was now leading the race easily ahead of Huntsman’s Delight.
Minnie, for Les and Graham Reid, Erin Rowlandson, Barbara Jones and Steven Walker was third and Foxparke Waddle Waddle for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Neil Brady in fourth.
When they were seen again in the bottoms there was yet another scale, as had happened in the first two races.

That left Deggsey Moon, Minnie, Freddie Moon and Zaya for Stephen Irving and Caroline Graham to take the opportunity for the lead.
As they appeared on the finish three had broken clear with Minnie just managing to beat Deggsey Moon by half a length with Zaya in third.
That was a particularly good effort by Zaya as the little hound has been lacking in confidence.
There was a small gap to Huntsman’s Delight in fourth and another to the fifth and sixth -Denton Adonis for Lee, Hayley, George, and Joey Wall, Sandra Mordue and Ted Storrows and TikTok for Anna and Kerry Lindsay and Janie McAulay.
The open restricted race had 16 entries with Huntsman’s Sparkle for Tracey, Carolyn and Derrick Hill sent off as the favourite.
As the hounds passed the trail field the favourite was running ahead of Foxparke Honk Honk for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler with Discover for Anna and Kerry Lindsay and Malfunction for Sarah White closest to them.
As the hounds went through the bottoms Huntsman’s Sparkle was now neck and neck with Foxparke Honk Honk and Malia for Christine Brownlee.
When they reached the finish Malia was leading from Huntsman’s Sparkle and Foxparke Honk Honk in a great race to the line.
As they were almost there Foxparke Honk Honk put in a late spurt to come from third and grab the win ahead of Malia and Blue Striker for Brian and Erin Rowlandson, and Billy Birket with Huntsman’s Sparkle in fourth.
Malfunction was fifth and the final ticket went to Foxparke Fairlady for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler.
The final race of the day was the Veterans with a field of 10 lining up at the slip.
Course specialist Miterdale Duchess for Jackie Gill and Denis Peare was sent off as the favourite.

As the hounds went past the trail field Monsoon for Christine Brownlee was leading from Miterdale Duchess and Bretton for Julie Birkenshaw and Brian Graham with Eagle Rock for Linda Neale, Mark, Josh and Georgia Bryden in fourth.
As the hounds crossed the bottoms they made a slight mistake but corrected themselves quite quickly and leading them away was still Monsoon but now ahead of four kennel mates, Bretton, Young Harry, Eleanor’s Lass and Reebok for Brian Graham, Julie Birkenshaw and Eleanor Chisholm.
When they appeared on the finish Miterdale Duchess had got to the front and finished well to win ahead of Bretton and Monsoon who were followed in by Young Harry and Eleanor’s Lass.
The final ticket went to Reebok.
What had been a disappointing weekend with the cancellation of the October Trails turned out to be a good day for the Reid brothers from Cockermouth who ended up with a treble on the day, winning with their three hounds, Mel, Minnie and Maggie.
