
Station Rd A have made a promising start in the JJ’s Workington Pool A League.
In the latest round of matches they made it three wins in a row. Playing away at the Cons Club they found themselves 2-0 down but an excellent showing from Paul Graffin, winning his three frames ensured an 8-5 victory.
Station Road’s club compatriots looked to earn their first win of the season as they found themselves 5-6 down against Moss Bay A.
Under pressure Mark Little equalised for Station Rd C which set up Stephen Gibbon to secure them a 7-6 win.
Andrew Sharp helped JJ’s C move up to third in the league with an 8-5 victory over the Waverley.
JJ’s B earned their first win as they defeated Pack Horse A 7-6 and Harrington Legion edged JJ’s A 7-6.
In the B League Phil Grisdale helped Harrington Legion B go joint top of the league with a final frame decider over Cons Club A.
They joined the Miners at the top who have Richard Blacklock to thank as he also held his nerve with a match winning final frame so they ran out 7-6 winners against Pack Horse B.
Other results saw Redhouse A and B win their respective matches 9-4 and 7-6 and the Grapes were on top form as they defeated Station Rd B 11-2.
Stuart Quinn put on a potting display as he helped give the Union Jack Club A their first win of the season in the C league as they won 9-4.
Moss Bay B and Wash House Miners made it three wins in a row thanks to their respective 10-3 and 9-4 score lines.
Callum Brown was on winning form as he helped JJ’s E earn an 8-5 victory against
Vinnies and Grapes B dominated their match against the Roundabout as Ian Gorman rounded off a 10-3 win.
