A vehicle fire has closed the A595 near Thornhill while emergency services attend.
Cumbria Police are assisting Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service, after they were called out to the fire today, Monday October 13, on Yeorton Brow at 11.51am.
No injuries have been reported.
The road is currently closed and officers are assisting with traffic. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
