
CCTV footage has helped police charge a man for several offences in Barrow.
Cumbria police appealed for people to come forward with footage from doorbells, dashcams and cameras following an incident in Anson Street on September 23.
Thomas Dempsey, 36, of Lord Street, Barrow, has been charged with wounding with intent, robbery, three counts of possession of a bladed article, assault by beating and theft from a shop.
It is alleged that Dempsey carried out a robbery at the home address of a man in Anson Street in Barrow on September 23, during which the victim sustained injuries including a wound to his thigh.
Dempsey was due to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday October 16.
Cumbria police said: “We would like to thank people in the local community who responded positively to an appeal for CCTV footage.
“The footage submitted assisted greatly with the investigation, resulting in charges being brought.”
