Barrow produced their best performance of the season to win 2-1 at Division Two leaders Walsall.
What made the result even better was the fact the Bluebirds played from the 56th minute with ten men.
Full back Lewis Shipley received his marching orders for a second yellow card, both for the offence of pulling back an opponent.
Before, and after, his early exit Barrow were kept in the game by goalkeeper Wyll Stanway.
More tyhan anyone his performance ended the home side’s eight game unbeaten run.
Walsall had 24 shots during the game, 11 of which were on target and several of which needed top class saves to keep out.
Most came in a really fast start by the Saddlers but having survived Barrow took the lead just after the half hour mark.
A cross from Ben Whitfield eluded the home defence and Elliot Newby poked it into the net from close range.
More good work from Stanway before the break to thwart both Rico Browne and Courtney Clarke meant Barrow went into the dressing room with their 1-0 lead still intact.
After Shipley’s red card the ten men actually doubled their lead 12 minutes later when recent recruit Charlie McCann drilled home a shot from a dozen yards after a quick Barrow counter attack.
Walsall got one back after 74 minutes through Daniel Kanu but it was Stanway who produced more heroics in the closing stages to ensure Barrow went home with all the points.
Kanu, Charlie Lakin and Clarke (twice} were all denied by brillianmts Stanway stops.
Then when he was beaten by an Aaron Pressley header from six yards the post came to his rescue.
