Aspatria Under-13s celebrate success at awards night

Aspatria Hornets Under-13s rounded off a successful 2025 season with the annual awards night.

Players, fans and family members gathered to celebrate collective and individual successes.

Coaches Andrew Wilson and Craig Hamilton gave their thoughts on the 2025 campaign and mentioned the strong team ethic of the squad and the fantastic support from family members, fans and sponsors.

Captain Anthony Hamilton then expressed his thanks, gave his overview of the season and underlined his admiration for the whole squad and the effort they have put in this year.

The individual awards were presented to:

  • Best Attitude – Ashley Harrison
  • Most Improved – Riley Oliphant
  • Coach’s Player of the Year – Aiden Nicholson
  • Supporters’ Player of the Year – Willie Paisley and Anthony Hamilton
  • The Ambition Award – William Beverley
  • Player’s Player of the Year – Ben Notman
  • Man of Steel – Willie Paisley

The Hornets Under-13s squad is comprised of players from the following schools – Solway School, Silloth, The Nelson Thomlinson School, Wigton, Caldew School, Dalston, Richard Rose Central Academy Carlisle, William Howard School, Brampton, and Ullswater Community College, Penrith.

The squad will now rest up and prepare for the Under Under-14s season to start in 2026.
