Dan Abram, who ended last season on loan at Whitehaven, won’t be returning in 2026.
The 29-year-old utility player was having his second loan spell with Whitehaven but he has signed for Hunslet ahead of next season.
Abram had spent the last four seasons with Swinton Lions after previously playing for Barrow, Rochdale and Oldham as well as Whitehaven.
He is an accomplished goal-kicker and wrote himself into Whitehaven folklore by twice kicking last gasp winners against Workington Town.
His career spans over 200 senior appearances and he has scored over 1,100 points from 56 tries and 496 goals.
Equally at home in the full-back position or hooker, Hinslet coach Kyle Trout wants him as a half-back.
Trout said: “Dan has a wealth of experience and is a great character. We see him playing a key role for us as we move forward.”
Abram said: “As soon as I spoke to Kyle I knew this was the right move for me. I am really excited about what the club is trying to build.”
