
A man was seriously injured in an assault at a Barrow working men’s club.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened at around 10.40pm on Friday, Oct ober 31, at the Central Working Men’s Club on Preston Street.
A 42-year old local man sustained a serious facial injury requiring medical treatment at Royal Preston Hospital.
Police said it was believed the suspect left the club prior to officers attending the scene.
He was described as a white man aged around 25 to 30 years old. He is of a slim build, with short brown hair.
He was wearing blue clothing, possibly a tracksuit, and had an injury under his right eye.
At the time of the assault the club was very busy.
