Cumbria police said its Carlisle Fireshow operation was a success.
A dispersal order gives officers extra powers to ask individuals engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return, if they return they risk being arrested.
In the hours leading up to the event, a number of people were dispersed, in line with the order, while two youths were arrested for breaching the dispersal order when required to leave the area and not return.
Inspector Andy Leather, of Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The measures put in place ahead of the event, as well as the action taken against a small number attempting to engage in anti-social behaviour, meant the event itself could take place safely and enjoyably for all.”
