Workington Juniors moved up to third in the Cumberland County League with a big win on Saturday.
They beat Keswick 10-1 after building on a 4-0 lead and leapfrog Mirehouse who were held to a draw at Wigton Harriers.
Tommy Whitehead has been in top class scoring form on Saturdays and Sundays and he led the way with another hat-trick.
Also on target for the Juniors were Jack Nixon (2), Shane Roe, Evan Stephenson, Josh Hoggarth and Gary Brunton.
Andy Frampton scored the Keswick consolation.
Wigton Harriers held champions Maryport Athletic to a 0-0 draw earlier in the season and they checked Mirehouses’s progress with a 1-1 stalemate.
Harvey Harrison scored for Wigton with Callum Wilson responding for the visitors for a share of the spoils.
In Division One Dearham United were 6-1 winners over Northbank with goals from Jack Dunstan (2), Danny Dryden (2), Jack Brown and Daniel Little. Ben Smith replied for the visitors.
In the other game Unisun Development were 5-1 winners against Whitehaven reserves with goals from Davey Nelson (2), George Carter, Finn Graham and Khalid Azeez. Nathan McGlennon replied for Whitehaven.
The Premier Division game between Aspatria and Cockermouth was called-off because of a waterlogged pitch.
