
A seventh man has been arrested as part of an investigation into alleged illegal fox hunting in the Lake District.
Six arrests were made by officers on Thursday November 13 as part of the investigation into an incident believed to have occurred during a meet in the Ambleside area on Saturday November 8.
It involved the Coniston Foxhounds.
All seven people have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and have been questioned by officers.
One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an unlawful firearm.
Those arrested have been bailed, pending further enquiries.
Chief Inspector Lee Skelton, of Cumbria Constabulary, said: “Our investigation remains ongoing with numerous enquiries being conducted.
“I would once again encourage anyone who has information which may assist this investigation to please make contact with us.”
