Old rivals Whitehaven and Cleator Moor met at reserves level in the Cumberland County League – with Celtic coming out on top 4-1.
They were contesting the Benevolent Cup at the County Ground and the Premier Division side got through against their Division One hosts.
Dylan Penn, Nathan Maxwell, Ben Whitworth and Harrison Rogers scored for Celtic with Joe Carney responding for the home side.
Nine of the Celtic reserves had stepped-up from the club’s Under-18’s which shows how well the club’s youth system is working.
Keswick were the day’s biggest winners, responding to a 10-1 Premier League defeat the week before to Workington Juniors, by beating Division One visitors Dearham United 8-0.

Alfie West helped himself to a hat-trick and he was joined on the score-sheet by Andy Frampton (2), Callum Oswald, Ted Thomson and Matthew Jackson.
Whitehaven Miners made progress in the Benevolent Cup with a 2-0 win at Division One side Northbank.
Paul McNally and Ben Graham got the Miners through to round two.
Silloth also got through with a 4-1 win at Carlisle City Development. Craig Taylor (2), Bradley Williamson and Rory Johnstone scored the goals with Mustapha Badjie replying for City.
There was a Division One game, too, which saw Windscale reserves win 3-1 at Whitehaven Miners Development.

Jack Harrison, Luke Elliot and Kieran Fraser scored the goals with Braydon Walmsley netting for Miners.
Two games were called-off because of the state of the pitches – Aspatria v Workington Junior and Cockermouth reserves v Unisun Development.
In addition the two top sides in the Premier Division met in a Fred Conway County Cup-tie, postponed from last week.
As expected it was a really tight game but a single late goal by Ryan Abba gave Unisun Athletic a 1-0 win at Maryport Athletic.
