Carlisle’s streets were filled with festive colour and roaring engines yesterday as the Leviathans Motorcycle Club held their annual Santa Bike Run in support of the Cash 4 Kids charity, writes Chris Jones.
Around mid-morning, dozens of riders gathered at the Asda car park, transforming the area into a sea of red suits, sparkling tinsel and jingling decorations.
Many bikers dressed head-to-toe as Santa Claus, while others sported elves, snowmen and even Grinch-themed outfits, bringing smiles to families who turned out to watch.
Setting off in a cheerful procession, the convoy made its way from Asda through Carlisle’s main roads before reaching the city centre.
Organisers said the event aims to raise vital funds and awareness for Cash 4 Kids, a charity that provides gifts and support to disadvantaged young people across Cumbria during the Christmas season.
As donations continue to come in, the club hopes the Santa Bike Run will help make sure every child experiences a little extra joy this Christmas.
