There will be no repeat this time of last season’s Cumbria Cup final.

Holders Penrith and beaten finalists Kendal have been paired together in the semi-final.

Kendal, who recently beat their rivals in a tense Regional 1 North East clash, will have home advantage.

In the other semi-final two rivals in Regional 2 North will go head-to-head at Davidson Park – Keswick v Upper Eden.

Kendal and Keswick both wrapped up their semi-final appearances at the weekend.

Under the Mint Bridge lights Kendal had to work hard to beat Kirkby Lonsdale 24-7 while Keswick had a bit more in hand beating Carlisle 54-10.

Earlier Penrith had a walkover against Aspatria while Upper Eden just got the better of Wigton 28-24.

In last season’s County Cup final Penrith came back from a 31-12 half time deficit to win 36-31.

Last month it was Kendal who struck late to win the League encounter 31-24.

The ties are to be played the weekend of January 24.
