Whitehaven’s West Cumberland Hospital will introduce a new app for people to pay for parking next week.
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said the change will be implemented from next Monday, December 1.
People are urged to download the RingGo app, which is replacing its current app, Flowbird, which has been acquired by RingGo’s parent company.
It said there would be no changes to the parking machines at the hospital.
The trust’s Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle uses a different app – Your Parking Space – as it operates a pay on exit system, which the West Cumberland Hospital does not.
Each of its community hospitals also operates its own parking payment system.
