Peter Kildemand, a crowd favourite for the Workington Comets in their Derwent Park days, has re-signed for Berwick Bandits.
The Danish star, a former Grand Prix winner, returned to Cab Direct Championship level this year for the first time in over a decade and made a big impression with the Bandits.
He re-signs for the club on an 8.05 average after ending the campaign in top-form, including recording his first paid maximum in their closing-day win over his old club at their new Northside track.
Team manager Stewart Dickson said: “Peter was a very popular and effective signing last season, and we are delighted to have his name on a 2026 contract.
“In addition to his on-track performances, Peter was also a big character in the pits putting his experience at the top level to good use.”
Meanwhile the Comets have revealed they will be announcing their third signing for 2026 on Monday night.
