A closure order has been secured for a Maryport home due to anti-social behaviour.
Allerdale police said the order was secured against the Wood Street property on December 3.
The closure order prevents anyone – other than the person named on the tenancy agreement – from entering the property for three months.
Allerdale police said: “These orders are powerful and grant a power of arrest for anyone who breaches them.
“They allow us to protect neighbourhoods from properties becoming dens of anti-social behaviour and drugs.
“Thank you to Riverside Housing who have been instrumental in supporting this application.
“Ultimately this order will allow us to protect vulnerable residents from those who manipulate and take over properties for their own benefit.”
