A safety exercise is set to take place at Walney Aerodrome this week.
The exercise at the BAE Systems-owned airfield will take place on Wednesday, December 10.
Beginning at 11am and lasting around two hours, the exercise will involve internal and external emergency services, including Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service and Cumbria police.
BAE Systems said: “There is likely to be noticeable emergency services activity on and around the airfield.
“But there is no need for members of the public to take any action. This is simply a scheduled, regulatory exercise.”
