A 33-year-old has been charged with murder as police investigate the death of a man in his 70s in Silloth.
Officers were called to Fell Close in Monday, December 22, at around 5.35am to the report of an unresponsive man at the property.
Police have named the 73-year-old man who died.
Stanley Smith, of Fell Close, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brian Smith, 33, of Acre Dales, Abbeytown has been charged with murder.
He was remanded into custody and appeared in court today, December 24.
