The result sees the Veterans leap to the top of Group B, while Rack Shack drop to third.

Also in group B, United Club B secured their first win of the qualifying stage with a hard-fought 3-2 away success over Workington Conservative Club.

The hosts made the early running with a convincing 84-54 win from Richard McCarthy over Andrew Carter (+45), but the visitors responded strongly as United B’s Adam Sowden (+46) beat Alan Moore (+8) 64-48 to tie the match at 1-1.
