Police have sent community support officers out on extra patrols in a West Cumbrian town after residents reported stone chippings being thrown at their homes.
Youngsters are reported to have been using the chippings from outside Workington Diagnostic Centre on Central Way car park and throwing them at nearby houses.
Residents said it had been going on for at least two months and was happening every night.
One told Cumbria Crack that it had resulted in a window being broken and they were concerned that someone may get hurt.
Allerdale police said two PSCOs were on patrol in the area last night following reports of anti-social behaviour by youths.
A spokesman for the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the centre, said: “We are aware of the incidents and are disappointed in the behaviour and criminal damage that has been caused to our neighbours.
“Our centre manager has listened to the concerns of residents and has put up temporary signs to advise the community that the area is covered by CCTV.
“We have also spoken with Cumbria police and are supportive of them taking appropriate action.”
