Cleator Moor Celtic collected the points from their Cumbrian derby at Millom in the West Lancashire League.

Two second-half goals earned the West Cumbrians the 2-0 win which would have been more convincing but for a superb display from home keeper Ian Studholme.

The former Windscale keeper made a string of fine saves to keep Millom on terms at the break and the he saved a penalty early in the second-half.

But Celtic continued to dominate the game and got their reward with goals from Rhys Little (60) and Jamie Martin (86).

The victory allowed Celtic to climb to 10th just above Millom on goal difference.

Milnthorpe Corinthians continued their climb away from the bottom two with a 2-1 home win over Burscough Richmond.

Joe Dickinson gave them an early lead after seven minutes but the visitors were level at the break through Billy Whittle (37).

The experienced Zach Clark scored the winner for the Corinthians in the 74th minute.
